@DrymouthCWW If you like looter shooters, then yeah it's worth the buy. If you got the Xbox game pass, it's 100% worth playing. If you dislike stuff like the Division, Destiny etc, then this won't change your mind on those type of games. It follows the formula and doesn't do much to build on it imo

There's a side quest that touches on this idea in the forest. Suffice it to say that the Doctor totally had other options but chose to actively sacrifice people instead.

@ASCENSIONS a what? i just watched the whole damn thing, and i remember Jakub saved a pregnant woman. yes you heard it right, the lady was already got a child inside of her before she met Jakub.

This is incorrect, Tanner's daughter had a son with Outrider Acosta named Mercer, who is located in the forest. Jakub has a child with the woman he saved off that one colony ship that blew up and their child's name is Chaana.

She's not though. Tanner's grandkid only shows up as just a minor quest target and giver.

Wait when was that established? I knew we'd see his grandchild but I didn't get any hints the Chaana is the one. But... I suppose now that I think about it the fact that Jakub and your character both being uncaring and petty for pretty much everyone and everything but having a soft spot for her is the dead giveaway

Seth abouts are given in one main mission. Not in cutscenes. Trust me it is explained very well. :o

@User Name Well, whether or not they become a bigger part of the game, I still got questions, that need answers, and currently the game is holding out on me, looks like DLCs are coming up in a few months.

@EvoLifeSword They didn't really put that much focus on Seth & Moloch though? Like outside of the part included in the demo, they don't really matter. Again Moloch does show up more than once. Though whether the second time is satisfying or not is a different matter unfortunately

@User Name Not enough to be completely fair, they put so much story into how Set and Molach is battling it out, but in the end, you fight Molach once, he runs away, and then you continue to find more questions than answers.

@EvoLifeSword Didn't say it wasn't, just that somethings that seem odd do actually fit in to what the devs seemed to be trying to do. Also Moloch shows up again in the endgame if its any consolation.

@Starchy _2007 stories are subjective... To me it kinda reminded me of a mix of Mass Effect and avatar....... If you have not played the Mass Effect trilogy I highly recommend you do so

@Frika Frikov There was a problem established in the beginning. That's what's mostly raining down in the pods. Also you never really had much of a reason to play the whole story and your character more or less didn't care about the story or have any motivation whatsoever to do anything in it. So the ending where he/she just walks off is fitting cause he/she was never invested in this mission and didn't have any hopes or expectations but he/she lost the only friend he/she had left in the process of the mission. Every cutscene was him/her being annoyed and putting up with everything that was going on. I mean every time someone shot at him in a cutscene or talked down on him/her. His/her facial expression was like "not this sh*t again" or "I'm getting tired of this sh*t".

I don't get the ending... so the storm is bad for technology and they call up pods filled with tech so their lives become easier... Their biggest problems at the beginning of the game are 1. civil war 2.the storm 3.the wild life which is out to get them... at the end of the game NONE of those things are resolved... the only thing they manage to do is buy themselves some time with the resources they had in outer space but ultimately that is hardly a game changer. The game has an interesting story so far except the fact that I was expecting it to lead SOMEWHERE when it didn't ... not really.

Imagine tomorrow if every law in existence was to disappear. The world would fall into anarchy and they did have some resources they brought things back from earth like elements and most of the stuff they didn’t was on this new planet or could be replaced by something on it. @Purple Nurp so they chose to build weapons with 3d printers, rather than, i don't know, shelters, maybe new farms, maybe a plain or even a spaceship to get out of the valley?..

@sFde46 dude they explain it in the game lmao pay attention they built that after landing, they built that whole city before the storm came. They had 3d printers that could build anything with the resources, it was looking good until the storm knocked out the nuclear power plant.

Remind you of how much better Mass Effect one and 2 were you mean? I mean we're all entitled to our opinions but I felt like this was just a shell of a story slapped around a 30 hour looter shooter. like destiny 1

@Sturmdrache Some of the lore entries posit that the Pax may even be incapable of violence altogether and that turning into Ferals was the only way to unlock that ability for them.

@Frika Frikov That was basically Agst saying that it wasn't like them, and didn't want to be tempted to become one. However, when those larger beasts were attacking Tiago, it didn't have a choice, and basically sacrificed itself to save him. Which leads me to conclude that Agst's people, the Pax, are generally a peaceful people with a distaste for violence, and thus never encountered a situation where they needed to go feral in order to survive.

well honestly that much I understand... better be a raging monster than a slave/dead. What I don't get is when August decided to NOT pick up the weapon to save his friend but to change into a monster instead which lead to him picking up the weapon ANYWAY ... what was the point exactly?!

That's kind of like the wild hunt ability the wood elves have in the elder scrolls. It's an ability that turns them all into bloodthirsty monsters that atck the enemy and then devour themselves until only one remains. It's an extreme and a suicide option. Like nukes

Sadly the combat mechanics for anthem feel better, but the content this game has is better.

British, Glasses, and a Cape. Plus an impatience and high demand for results. Yeah he had to go. I don't have a problem with those three things. Just him really.

@Mattews Mico Directo Yes actually, because I can look forward to the content myself, I have the game, and has finished the main mission because I know what to look out for. during boss fights, I can see how it works and get a slight advantage. But overall I play for the story, and only the story, after the main mission is done I'm gonezo.

I actually went and got premium because I couldn't deal with the ads anymore. Before i would jailbreak my phone and constantly have to update the app that blocked the ads etc..was really a hassle. If you watch a ton of yt like me it might be an option for you as well.

@Gamer's Little Playground Thanks for the heads up and the video! I'm about 30 mins into the story here and i like the writing and voice acting. Was expecting something far more childish after seeing the character models for the first time but I'm glad that didn't reflect the quality of the story. I might actually get this game now.

It is if you go in expecting a run-of-the-mill looter shooter. I mean that in the best way possible. It's not ground breaking, but the mechanics are smooth and fun. You'll have a blast with friends. But don't expect much innovation here
